My first week doing fieldwork in Churchill!

I love running. I also participate in more strength-based sports (weight lifting and dragon boat), and have a lot of competitive teammates who are always trying to be stronger and/or faster. Because of this, I also get a lot of questions about running.

I read Superior by Angela Saini in the summer of 2020, during the BLM movement sweeping the globe while the pandemic raged on. Here’s the review I wrote the EEB Quarterly (Volume 3, Issue 1)

This past Thursday, Sophie B. and I co-led a lab meeting discussion about race and racism in academia with our labs. Following the discussion, we are sharing all the resources that we have gathered in hopes that it might be useful to others who want to lead a discussion.

It all started when I joined my elementary school’s track-and-field team and now I am running multiple long-distance races each year.

You may know of ping pong as a basement sport, but I have been playing table tennis (aka ping pong) competitively since I was 11. I have been involved in table tennis throughout high school and university, for which I have worn many hats.
